RICHMOND, Va. — Captain Angela Greene — err, Capt. Cyrano — and Lt. John McRoy with the Richmond Police Department want to talk about Halloween safety tips.

The duo examined  masks, props, capes, candy and general seasonal safety tips in their video.

Some examples:

  • Make sure to get a mask from which you can see and breathe.
  • Don’t use sharp objects.
  • Hem your kid’s cape if it is too long.
  • Carry a flashlight.
  • Be visible!
  • Check all candy to see if had been opened.

Just watch the video, it’s better than candy. And, in all seriousness, stay safe out there!
