GLEN ALLEN, Va. -- On Wednesday morning a bomb threat was found at Glen Allen High School, and the school was evacuated while authorities investigated.

Just after 10 a.m., Henrico County Schools spokesperson Andy Jenks alerted parents and media.

“Unfortunately, the school has received another threatening message,” he wrote. “We are safely moving all students and staff to the football stadium, just like yesterday, while authorities investigate.”

A reporter was on the scene when security agents entered the school area, along with more law enforcement.

“A bomb threat was found in a restroom,” tweeted CBS 6 reporter Melissa Hipolit. “Henrico Police also say based on the contents of the note they are doing a more comprehensive screening of the school.”

Parents who attempted to respond to the school were told to wait at the Martin’s on Staples Mill, at the Crossridge Shopping Center.

As with Tuesday’s event, when the school was evacuated in the afternoon, the situation was contained and the school secured. Shortly after that event, Jenks informed the media that students were taken to the high school's football field and police were called "out of an abundance of caution."

This message follows a rash of threatening messages discovered in schools in the past two weeks, in multiple school districts.

Earlier in October, an eighth-grader at Colonial Heights Middle School was arrested and charged with a felony for the communication of a threat on school property.

The 13-year-old male will face a Class 6 felony charge, which according to state code, is applied in crimes  where a threat to kill or do bodily harm on the grounds of school property is communicated in writing, including electronic transmission.
