Truck hauling biosolids crashes, closes Maidens Road in Goochland

GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. — A truck crash has closed Maidens Road, near River Road, in Goochland.

“Drivers are encouraged to use an alternate route until further notice,” VDOT advised.

The truck was hauling biosolids, confirmed Kyle Winter, the Regional Deputy Director/Water Compliance at the Piedmont Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.

The Goochland County Sheriff said that the company that owns the truck sent a crew to clean up the spill.

The DEQ is on scene, and has not filed a report at this time.

Details about the crash have not yet been released. This is a developing story.
