RICHMOND, Va. — The nine-day, international bicycling event has officially begun, with opening ceremonies kicking off at Brown’s Island. This is the first time the races have been hosted on American soil since 1986. There will be hundreds of thousands of spectators throughout the event, which runs Sept. 19- Sept. 27.
