WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Do not be alarmed if you see emergency vehicles headed to Busch Gardens Williamsburg Wednesday, Virginia State Police posted on Facebook. There is likely no real emergency.

“A Regional Training Exercise will be taking place today at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. The exercise begins at approximately 1 p.m., and will continue through the afternoon,” Virginia State Police posted. “The public may see first responder and law enforcement activity at and around Busch Gardens…but there is NO reason to be alarmed.”

Police said the exercise was “not planned as a response to any current threat or specific security concerns, but is intended to promote preparedness and cooperation between federal, state and local law enforcement agencies and first responders.”
