Mom busted forging checks at pharmacy, with juvenile in tow, police said

HENRICO, Va. – A mother was arrested after police determined she forged stolen checks and obtained prescriptions by fraud.

According to police, the victim reported she had ordered checks from her financial institution, but they never arrived.

When she followed up on the checks, she determined that one had been passed in the 00 block of West Nine Mile Road, at a pharmacy.

Officers were able to determine the individual who passed the check was Jessica Lynn Lail, age 28, who was accompanied by her juvenile child at the time of the incident.

Lail, age 28, is a Highland Springs resident.

She was charged with obtaining prescriptions by fraud, possession of a schedule II drug, contributing, two counts of forgery, petit larceny, and identity theft.
