CHESTERFIELD, Va. -- Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred at about 12:05 p.m. Tuesday.
The accident occurred in the 11800 block of Chalkley Road, off Iron Bridge.
Police said two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions on Chalkley Road when they collided. A female adult driver of one of the vehicles was transported to a local hospital where she later died.
Police are still working to identify the driver, who was the vehicle’s only occupant. The other driver was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
