FRANKLIN COUNTY, Alabama -- A viral video of a rescue caught on an Alabama man's iPhone has him being called a hero. But Tyler Blake Kimbrell said what he did was something any decent person would do. The video showed Kimbrell work to rescue his 11-month-old niece Breleigh from his sister's car after the vehicle crashed off a cliff. Kimbrell was following his sister's car when he saw it go down the 100-foot drop.

"She had went down a good steep drop off and had ended up flipped in the ditch," Kimbrell said. "The first thing I saw in that video when I was looking at an angle, was what looked to be like a lifeless body laying there but I knew there was hope."

Kimbrell recorded the video while he used his iPhone camera for light. In the car he tried to calm his sister and rescue Breleigh.

"Uncle Blake's going to get you out of here, I promise, I promise. If it's the last thing I do, Uncle Blake's going to get you out of here," he said in the video.

Breleigh survived the wreck and is doing well. Uncle Blake said he's no hero.

"I think that any one that's a decent human being would do that for someone else regardless if it was family or someone that's a stranger," he said.

He said the attention he has received has reinforced his belief that people need more humility and prayer in their lives.

"People should just love other people. I'm just really happy that this has touched so many lives and I can't wait for this little girl to see it when she gets older," he said.

The family has set up a GoFundMe to help replace items lost in the crash.
