Missing Glen Allen teen with autism found walking on interstate

HENRICO, Va. – Kevin Walsh, a 17-year-old teen with autism, went missing on Tuesday but was found shortly afterwards.

He was visiting the Confederate Hills Recreation Center located at 302 Lee Ave in Highland Springs when he became agitated and walked off, police said.

He is from Glen Allen and is not familiar with Highland Springs. He had no money and no cell phone when he went missing.

The jacket Kevin Walsh is wearing in the photograph is what he was wearing prior to walking off, Lt. Sperry said.

Kevin has a response sometimes when he becomes afraid and will run.

He also tends to frequent stores, police said.

Walsh is a 17-year-old white male, 5’8” height and weighs 125 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a black/gray sweatshirt and black sweat pants

He does have autism and suffers from seizures.
