RICHMOND, Va. -- A few strong to severe storms will be possible Tuesday afternoon and evening as a weak cold front and upper-level trough moves through a seasonally warm and humid air mass in Virginia. The risk right now is denoted as "marginal" by the Storm Prediction Center, and will most likely not be increased to a "slight" risk.
The main severe weather threat will be damaging wind gusts that accompany the most intense storms. The air mass behind the front will be drier, with dew points dropping into the low 60s. Thursday will be the most comfortable day of the week, with highs in the low 80s. -Zach
