RICHMOND, Va. - You can usually find a crowd at Beer Thirty on Williamsburg Rd. for "Biker Night" every Thursday.
However, on this particular evening, the Bike Night had a very special meaning.
A fundraiser was held at the bar in honor of Kenneth Jefferson. Jefferson was one of the motorcyclists who died two days after a horrific crash involving a semi along the side of I-85 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
"We're raising money to give to his family, for whatever they need it for," said Erica Williams, the National President of Lady Unity Rydaz, "Whether it be funeral expenses, it's hard when you lose someone, you never know what people's situations are."
The event brought bikers from all over.
Some brought cards for the family, and others were there to just be there for the family.
"The biker world is different from everyone else's world," said Junior Grubbs a member of Untamed MC , "We all stick together and bond together when something happens to one person."
Along with the biker community, Kenneth's daughters were also at the fundraiser wearing pins in honor of their father.
They told CBS 6 reporter Chelsea Rarrick that the love and support for their dad has been overwhelming.
"He was a fun guy, every time you saw him he always had a smile on his face," said Ricky Williams, President of the Tuskegee Airmen Motorcycle Club.
Family members said Jefferson's funeral will be held on Saturday.
