Richmond man, Henrico woman charged with Ashland armed robbery

ASHLAND, Va. — The Ashland Police Department has resolved a case from July 12, and arrested two individuals in connection to the robbery of a gas station.

At approximately 9:10 a.m. on a Sunday morning,  police officers responded to the gas station located in the 500 block of South Washington Highway in Ashland, for reports of an armed robbery.

The suspect produced a handgun and demanded an undisclosed amount of money.

After an extensive investigation, warrants for robbery and the use of a firearm during the commission
of a felony were obtained for two people with Richmond addresses.

Antonio Savage, 31 years old, of the 1800 block of Springton Road, in east Richmond.

Police also obtained warrants for conspiracy to commit robbery and grand larceny for Wendy Novak, 32 years old, of the 1700 block of Rockwood Road in Henrico.

Both Savage and Novak are currently being held at the Pamunkey Regional Jail.
