CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — The Chesterfield woman reported missing over the weekend has been found safe, her husband confirmed. Candy Basham showed up at her mother’s North Carolina home at 11 a.m. Wednesday. She was hardly able to walk and unable to recall the last several days, her husband said.

Basham, 37, left Chesterfield on Friday. She was headed to North Carolina to visit her children who lived there. Basham’s sister said she saw Candy on Friday night, but no one had seen her since.

Basham’s husband said he feared drugs may have played a role in his wife’s disappearance. He said his wife of two and a half years has a history of addiction and was due in court next month on a grand larceny charges.

"I think possible kidnapping because I have noticed a lot of money missing from my account,” Jonathan Basham speculated earlier this week.

This is a developing story.
