PETERSBURG, Va. — Virginia State Police completed its investigation into a suspicious device found Thursday morning at the Post Office on Franklin Street in Petersburg, Virginia State Police spokesman Sgt. Steve Vick confirmed. The device was located at about 10 a.m., Sgt. Vick said.
“Virginia State Police Bomb Techs have declared the device to be inert, the scene is cleared and further investigation is being conducted by US Postal Inspectors,” Vick said.
