RICHMOND, Va. — Richmond mother Roslyn Davis said she was working to become a certified nurse when she found out she was carrying identical quadruplets. CBS 6 first reported that the quadruplets were due Nov. 12, 2015.
The news spread of her pregnancy and many reached out tohelp support Davis.
Last week Davis went to John Hopkins for tests, she said because identical quadruplets are extremely rare. CNN reported there are only 50 to 60 identical quads in the world.
Davis said she did not expect to deliver the babies so soon, but on July 11, all four were born. They were born within 10 minutes of one another but were unable to survive. They were 20 weeks and four days old.
Roslyn, a Richmond native, is a mother to two sons, a 10-year old and 13-month old.
All funds that had been donated will now go towards their funeral arrangements, she said.
