RICHMOND, Va. -- Skies will remain mostly cloudy through much of the afternoon, and while it won’t rain all the time, there will be a few scattered showers and a thunderstorm or two around. Rain chances will gradually decrease through the afternoon in Metro Richmond. Temperatures will average in the upper 70s and low 80s.

Skies will begin to clear late tonight, although lingering low level moisture will lead to areas of fog developing. Overnight lows will be in the mid to upper 60s.

Sunday will be a dry and warm day, with highs in the upper 80s. Then the heat and humidity will build again as we begin the new work week, with a few scattered storms around Monday and Tuesday afternoons. There will be a threat for a few storms around each afternoon and evening through the week, although not everyone will see rain every day.
