ORANGE, Tex. — A 28-year-old man was killed by an alligator early Friday morning in Orange County, Texas.
The man’s body was found not far from where he was attacked.
Witnesses said the man jumped into the water to swim overnight even though there is a “No Swimming — Alligators” warning sign posted on the shore.
Bystander said a large alligator immediately attacked the man after he jumped in.
A woman who jumped into the water to help the man was not injured.
