MIAMI- A burglary suspect and a Miami Judge had an emotional reunion inside a Miami courtroom Thursday.

Miami-Dade Judge Mindy Glazer recognized the defendant Arthur booth, a former middle school classmate. Booth was appearing in bond court for several charges including grand theft and burglary.

“Did you go to Nautilus for middle school?” Judge Glazer asked Booth.

Booth had a brief smile as he recognized his former classmate, but began to sob uncontrollably and repeated “oh my goodness.”

Judge Glazer responded, “I’m sorry to see you there. I always wondered what happened to you–This was the nicest kid in middle school. He was the best kid in middle school. I used to play football with him. All the kids. And look what has happened. I’m so sorry to see you there.”

Booth could only reply, “Oh my goodness,” as he continued to cry.

The judge wished Booth luck and said she hopes he can change his way.
