Bishop DiLorenzo announces new priest assignments for Diocese of Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. — Bishop Francis X. DiLorenzo announced the follow new assignments for priests in the Diocese of Richmond. The Diocese has asked the community to keep these priests in their prayers as they begin their new assignments.

Rev. Jose Arnel Ayo, to Parochial Administrator, Saint Anthony, Norton; Sacred Heart, Big Stone Gap; Holy Spirit Catholic Community, Jonesville; and Saint Joseph, Clintwood, from Parochial Vicar, Saint Mary Star of the Sea, Fort Monroe; Saint Joseph, Hampton; Saint Vincent de Paul, Newport News, effective August 1, 2015.

Rev. Wayne Ball, to full time at the Diocesan Tribunal and Spanish Mass at St. Augustine, Richmond, from Pastor at Saint Patrick, Richmond, and Saint John, Highland Springs, effective August 1, 2015.

Rev. Rene Castillo, to Chaplain, Church of the Holy Apostles, Virginia Beach, and DePaul Hospital, Virginia Beach, and Maryview Medical Center, Portsmouth, from Administrator, Sacred Heart, Danville, effective August 1, 2015.

Bishop Francis X. DiLorenzo thanks these six priests, who will be entering retirement, for their many years of faithful ministry to the people of the Diocese of Richmond.
