PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. -- A Prince George High School senior was killed in a crash Saturday morning about two hours before the school's 9 a.m. graduation, according to Prince George Fire & EMS.

"The driver, 18 year old Sierra Lynn Barbara Wise, was on her way to Prince George County High School to receive her high school diploma," Prince George Police spokesman Capt. Brian Kei said. "The investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling north on Loving Union Road when it ran off the roadway to the left striking a tree."

The crash happened at the intersection of Loving Union Road and Pumphouse Road in Disputanta. That intersection was closed for a time, but reopened at about 9:30 a.m.

"On behalf of the Board of Supervisors, and County Administrator Percy Aschraft, Chief Ed Frankenstein would like to express condolences and offers thoughts and prayers to the family for these tragic circumstances," Kei said.
