VCU won their 12th straight with a 7-2 win over the top seed Dallas Baptist in the Dallas Regional Friday Night.  It’s their first NCAA tournament win since 2003.  The Rams used a five-run 4th inning to pull away for the upset.

Brett Hileman had three hits and drove in two as the Rams will face Oregon St. in the Winner’s bracket game Saturday night.

Jo-Jo Howie went six plus and allowed just two runs in the win.

In other tournament games, UVA took advantage of several USC errors to beat the Trojans 6-1 to advance to the Winner’s bracket game in the Lake Elsinore Region against either UCSB or San Diego St.  Connor Jones allowed five hits over seven strong innings to get the win.

Radford lost their first game in the Nashville Region to Indiana 7-1.  They will play Lipscomb in the loser’s bracket game Saturday.
