NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- A high school teacher in Newport News, Virginia resigned from her job after allegations surfaced she showed nude selfies to students at Woodside High School, school officials told WTKR. Newport News Police are still investigating the claims and the teacher has not been charged with a crime.
A search warrant filed in the case indicated three students told police the 34-year-old teacher showed them before-and-after photos of her breast augmentation. The photos were on the teacher's phone. One student said the teacher also shared photos of her genitals.
"To me that’s pornographic, it’s not okay. It’s not okay," Woodside High School mom Angela Leslie said. "I hope it’s not true."
School officials confirmed the teacher, who was placed on administrative leave without pay when the allegations were first made in March, resigned from her job in April. School officials handed the case over to Child Protective Services and Newport News Police. Newport News Police have not yet commented on what was found during a more in-depth search of the teacher's phone.
