CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. – Police were alerted to the America Family Fitness at 4751 Brad McNeer Parkway in Midlothian Tuesday night at around 7:45 after witnesses reported that a nine-year-old girl fell into the pool.
According to the Chesterfield County Police, the child was removed from the pool and CPR was administered. Police and fire department personnel arrived on scene and transported the child to the hospital where she died.
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the death. The child's name is being withheld pending notification to the mother.
