HENRICO, Va. -- Henrico detectives have been working around-the-clock to solve the county's fourth homicide of 2015.

The fatal shooting happened Thursday night in the East End, in the 5200 block of Art Avenue; located off Darbytown Road.

Police got to the scene around 9 p.m. and found the body of a man on the ground behind a home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The area was canvassed by police, who spoke with neighbors, but police said they could still use more help. They encourage anyone who saw or heard anything out of the usual to contact detectives.

It's a crime that has some neighbors a little anxious.

“This is a bit unusual for this type of crime to happen here,” said Cpt. Linda Toney. “It is usually a quiet area. I can only imagine how the residents feel. Again we are asking for help so give us a call.”

Police don't believe this is a random crime.

The name of the victim will not be released until his family is notified.

If you have information about this murder, call Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000.
