Shots fired at an off duty Chesterfield County Sheriff’s deputy

MIDLOTHIAN, Va. -- Police are investigating shots fired at the 4100 block of Lonas Parkway in Midlothian.

According to Chesterfield County Police, the car of an off duty Chesterfield Sheriff's deputy was shot up at the Addison at Swift Creek complex shortly before 9 p.m. Monday. The deputy was in the car at the time, according to Lt. Donald Huff of the Chesterfield County Police.

Although multiple shots were fired at the car, the deputy was not injured. He was not, however, able to return fire.

Police scoured the area for the suspect driving a gold or brown Chevy sedan. The car was last seen driving in the direction of Hull Street. If you have any information about this crime, police are asking you to call Crime Solvers at 804-748-0660.
