PETERSBURG, Va. -- A First Choice Quality Services truck burst into flames in the middle of South Gillfield Drive in Petersburg Tuesday morning. A contractor stepped out of his truck, walked to the back of a house to do some work and that is when his truck exploded, a witness said.
"I heard it, it sounded like gunshots at first, I was thinking who is outside shooting in our neighborhood?" neighbor NeiCarletha Mora said. "I grabbed my phone and called 9-1-1."
Mora said she was concerned about her neighbors when she heard the explosion.
"It looked like a bomb just went off, all you could see was black smoke, that's all you could see," she said.
The cause of the explosion remained under investigation. No one was injured.
