NEW YORK – Richmond native Chad L. Coleman, best known for portraying Dennis “Cutty” Wise on “The Wire” and Tyreese on “The Walking Dead,” had a meltdown in a New York subway car on Friday asking passengers, “At the end of the day, where’s the humanitarian in you?”

His four minute rant was captured on video and first reported by TMZ and WPIX 11. Coleman identified himself to his fellow passengers during his rant.

“Yes, I’m Chad L. Coleman,” he yelled. “I’m on ‘The Wire’, ‘The Walking Dead.’”

According to the TMZ report, the rant was sparked after a passenger referred to him with the ‘N-word.’

Coleman has since said he regrets his outburst– but stands by its message.

He added that he was sober while being recorded.
