HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- After years of playing the lottery, Charles and Deborah Bibbs finally hit the big one. The Henrico couple claimed their $1 million Mega Millions prize during a check presentation ceremony Monday at 7-Eleven on Williamsburg Road in Sandston. Auto mechanic Charles Bibbs bought the ticket that matched six numbers, but not the Mega Ball number, for the April 21 drawing.

"I had to look at the ticket 20 or 30 times," he said. "I couldn’t believe it."

"I said 'well, we won $250,00.' And that's what we thought, until he went to the lottery office that day and they said we won a million dollars," Deborah Bibbs added.

The couple said they felt lucky and thankful that good fortune had come their way. They said they planned to put their winnings in the bank before deciding how to spend the money.
