RABSW’s Social Workers Educational Symposium works to empower those who can invoke change

RICHMOND, Va - Dr. Peyton McCoy, Ph.D., award-winning author, and Renata Hedrington-Jones, Education Committee Chair for the Richmond Chapter of the National Association of Black Social Workers, shared details about the upcoming Richmond Social Workers Educational Symposium. Dr. McCoy, author of the award-winning book, ‘Walk into Your Season: The Art of Cultural Work,’ will be the keynote speaker for the event.  The Association of Black Social Workers is comprised of people of African ancestry committed to enhancing the quality of life and empowering people of African ancestry through advocacy, human services, and research. The Symposium is Friday, April 24th from 8am to 4pm at Sixth Baptist Church, located at 400 S. Addison Street.
