RICHMOND, Va. — A woman was shot in a home along the 1900 block of Peter Paul Boulevard in Richmond Thursday morning. The woman was taken to VCU Medical Center with injuries police deemed non-life threatening. Police have not yet released information regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The shooting, reported at about 7:15 a.m., prompted lock downs at nearby Martin Luther King Middle School and Woodville Elementary School. Those lock downs have since been lifted.
