RICHMOND, Va. -- There are two big St. Patrick's Day celebration happening on Pi Day. That means in addition to all the revelry and green beer there will be multiple street closures on Saturday to accommodate both festival celebrations. Shamrock the Block will take place on the Boulevard, and the family-oriented Shockoe Fest takes place in Shockoe Bottom.
Street closures and parking restrictions run from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. for Shamrock the Block. Street closures in Shockoe run from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Boulevard Event Closures
- N. Boulevard between W. Moore and W. Broad streets
- W. Leigh St. between N. Boulevard and Altamont St.
- W. Clay St. between N. Boulevard and Altamont St.
- W. Marshall St. between N. Sheppard St. and N. Boulevard
- Myers St. between W. Broad and Leigh streets
