Overturned tanker truck shuts down I-95 in Maryland

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Maryland -- All lanes of I-95 southbound and northbound are closed at MD 198 in Prince George’s County, Maryland after a tanker truck overturned in the southbound lanes.

"State and local police and agencies are responding, including the Maryland Department of Environment due to leaking substance / fuel. Southbound traffic is diverted to MD 198 and is backed up approximately eight miles and northbound traffic is diverted to MD 212," the Maryland Department of Transportation advised.

US 29, MD 295 and US 1 were listed as alternate routes. This is a developing story.
