HANOVER COUNTY, Va. -- A Hanover County Army veteran is a homeowner tonight thanks to SunTrust Bank.

The Feltz family received a warm welcome as they pulled up to their new Mechanicsville home.

SunTrust Bank fixes up repossessed homes for injured service members in combat identified by the military warrior support foundation.

"The whole community is out here just for us and words can't even describe that because that's what we've always wanted that community feel of home and that's the first time we've ever got it," said Scott Feltz.

SunTrust and its employees have been sprucing up the home since November.

"We’re grateful for the opportunity to say thank you to the veterans that serve our country and who've defended our homes by giving them one of our homes," Peter Mahoney of SunTrust Bank.

The Feltz family says that they are so grateful to have these roots after moving around so much.
