RICHMOND, Va. — After a week off from school because of Presidents Day and a powerful winter storm that dumped snow across the state, many students and teachers will be headed back to class on Monday.
Richmond, Chesterfield, Hanover Henrico and Goochland schools posted on social media Sunday that the districts’ schools and offices would “resume normal operations” Monday.
However, Hanover officials said that they would be closely monitoring road conditions early tomorrow out of an abundance of caution.
“If for any unforeseen reason there is a need for a delayed opening, a decision will be made no later than 6 a.m.,” Chris Whitley with Hanover County Public Schools said in a news release.
Additionally, other school districts in the other parts of the CBS 6 viewing area reported that they would be on a two-hour delay or closed Monday.
