RICHMOND, Va. -- As a powerful winter storm bears down on Central Virginia, our CBS 6 News crews were on the move. But we weren't sure what to make of what we came across at Byrd Park Monday night.
CBS 6 reporter Tracy Sears and Chief Photographer Brad Wilson met a couple trying to sled with some old cookie sheets and various lubricants.
“So we’re just figuring we would sled down this one and only hill in Richmond and put some lube on the back of the trays and have a good time," Eric said.
But can a bent cookie sheet really do double duty as a sled?
"It works kinda, once you lube it up real good," Eric explained.
The couple, who does not have kids, said they are both off from work Tuesday.
"Oh my goodness," Tracy Sears exclaimed as more lubricant was applied to one the of cookie sheets.
“I think he can show you exactly what we’re doing,” the woman laughed, before carefully selecting the best spot to take off from.
