RICHMOND, Va. -- Three adults and three children lost their home to fire early Monday morning in Richmond. Firefighters said it appeared an electrical problem caused the fire at the home along the 1600 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike. Someone who was passing by the home saw smoke coming from the second floor around 3 a.m.  That person called 911, fire investigators said.

No one was hurt as a result of the fire.  The Red Cross was called to help the displaced family find another place to live.
