DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. -- The Dinwiddie Sheriff's Office is leading a death investigation after a body was found near Poplar Grove National Cemetery. Investigators were called to the woods near the cemetery at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday. There they found the body of an unidentified male. The body was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Richmond.
The man's death was suspicious in nature, according to investigators. It appeared the body has been there for a while, they added.
Neighbors who live near the woods happened to see the body while on a walk. Anyone with information about the body was asked to call the Dinwiddie Sheriff's Office at 804-469-4550.
