RALEIGH, NC. -- A tender moment between a group of Target employees and a teenage shopper was caught on camera by Audrey Mark.

The teen's need for a clip-on tie turned into a life lesson, at the northeast Raleigh Target.

Cathy Scott, who works at Target saw a teen looking for something.

"I asked him if he needed help and he told me he needed clip on ties...we didn't have any," she said.

So she went to her co-worker Dennis Roberts and asked if he could tie a tie.

So the teen bought a tie and brought it to him.

"We took the wrapping off it and I tied it on my neck and fit it over my head then put it over his head, adjusted it and tightened it,” said Roberts.

But the Target team did more than just fix his tie, they prepped him for the interview.

"We said, make sure you look him in the eye,” Roberts said. “I'm saying ‘make sure you give him a firm handshake,’ and she showed him how he tucked his shirt in, he tied his shoes.”

"He was saying yes m’am, and he was just soaking it all in,” Scott said.

Audrey Mark saw all this going on, and snapped the picture.

"I hear you peppering him with this warm, comfortable, calming advice about interview skills and handshakes,” Mark said.” I thought he must be a neighbor or a very close friend because you just were so sweet with him."

But these were all just strangers at a store.

“He leaves and all these Target employees are screaming Bye! Good luck! Tell us how it went."

And as everyone cheered, Dennis was proud.

"We were just here to help a young man get a job and forward his future,” he said.

Cathy cried. "It touched your heart...it still does,” she said.
