HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Embattled delegate Joe Morrissey wants a speedy trial.
Morrissey, who is serving a six month sentence after being convicted in a sex scandal with an underage employee, filed a motion Friday saying he wants a trial on the new charges he faces within 21 days because any delay would cause him further embarrassment.
Morrissey was indicted last month on four felony counts including perjury and forgery.
He filed a separate motion to act as his own co-counsel, saying he remains an active member of the state bar.
