Felony Lane Gang: Notorious crew could be ‘riding dirty’ in Richmond

Posted

CHESTERFIELD, Va. -- They're called the Felony Lane Gang, and they have quite a reputation amongst law enforcement.

Secret Service agents said the gang, who use rental cars, tend to pop up in an area for a few weeks then move on to the next target.

But that doesn't mean they won't come back.

Their crimes are steady happening from Florida to Maine and there are pockets of it nationwide.

Daycares, parks, gyms, shopping centers -- anywhere there are a lot of cars and trucks in a parking lot.

Secret service agents say thieves are targeting victims even trying to match their descriptions with disguises.

"They'll go right to the bank, have some sort of disguise that even matches the documents they've stolen. They go to a teller in a far lane, do their business and quickly leave."

Law enforcement sources say that happened recently at a Brandermill Bank but the manager, aware of the Felony Lane Gang, put a stop to the transaction before the crook got any cash.

Agents saying they're trying to find the crooks before they come around again.

A victim from the Rainbow Station Daycare off the Boulders Parkway not too far from here says she was told by detectives that her case was consistent with the Felony Lane Gang.
