RICHMOND, Va. -- Rules for the commercial use of drones could be announced at any time. One local group is teaching people in our area how and where to safely fly them.
As Bloomberg News reports, a proposal is in the White House for rules on the federal level.
Many may have gotten drones for Christmas so today's event was all about teaching flight safety with drones.
Organizers say they want to point out that if you learn to fly safe, they won't become a hazard.
Today's event was the first of its kind but organizers hope to have more like it in the future.
