Big Herm pulled together the flavors of the season with fresh apples, ginger, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a dash of cayenne to complete these flavorful cuts of meat. Big Herm’s Chops with Apple Chutney
Ingredients:
Chops
1 Tbs – Oil
1 ½ tsp – Lawry’s Season Salt
1 tsp – Garlic Powder
½ tsp- Cumin
½ tsp – Black Pepper
Chutney
1 – Onion
1 ½ tsp - Garlic Cloves-minced
5- Red Apples Diced
1/8 cup- Water
1/8 cup - Soy Sauce
¼ cup – Brown Sugar
¼ cup – White Vinegar
1 tsp – Ginger
½ tsp – Cayenne
½ tsp – Cinnamon
Instructions
- Coat Chops with Oil and Spices
- In hot sautee’ pan brown Chops for 3-4 mins. on each side. Set aside in a Baking Pan
- In a sautee’ pan brown Onion & Garlic
- Add all other ingredients. Bring to a boil then reduce heat low. Cook until Chutney thickens.
- Pour Chutney over Chops in the Baking Pan
- Cover with Foil
- Bake on 325* F for 1 hour
