ASHLAND, Va. — More than 1,000 Dominion Virginia Power customers were with electricity Tuesday morning, according to Dominion’s interactive power outage map. The outage seems to be centered near Ashcake Road and Route 1.
A Dominion spokesperson said a wire went down around 5:50 a.m. and knocked out power to about 1,700 customers. The cause of the outage remained under investigation.
Dominion was able to restore power to all but 600 customers by 6:45 a.m.
The power company estimated service would be fully restored between 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
