RICHMOND, Va - Maya Smart, award-winning journalist, wife of VCU basketball coach Shaka Smart, and this year’s Richmond Christmas Mother, visited the studio this morning to share with us some exciting new ways The Richmond Christmas Mother Fund is serving the community. In addition to its ongoing collaboration with the Salvation Army, The Richmond Christmas Mother Fund entered a partnership with The Community Foundation called “80 Years-80 Ways,” awarding grants to local organizations for Christmas-related programs and services.
