CHESTERFIELD, Va. — The lights are back on  in some homes after a brief blackout in Chesterfield County.  Nearly 5,000 customers lost power overnight after a driver crashed their car into a power pole at the intersection of Centralia and Salem Church Road Friday night, according to Dominion Virginia power.

The company restored power to about 1,500 customers remotely. Power crews worked through the night to restore electricity to the rest of its customers.

A juvenile lost control of the car, hitting the pole. The juvenile was charged with DUI, and several other charges according to police.

The investigation is on-going.
