Barnes & Noble to close Brandermill bookstore

Posted

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — The Barnes & Noble bookstore located at 4600 Commonwealth Centre Parkway in Midlothian will close at the end of the year. When asked why the national bookstore chain decided to close its Brandermill location, the company responded with a statement.

“The lease will expire at the end of January 2015 and the store will be closing at the end of December,” vice president of development at Barnes & Noble David Deason said. “We have numerous locations throughout the Richmond metro area and look forward to the opportunity to continue to serve our valued customers at those locations.”

There are at least six other Barnes & Noble locations in Central Virginia.

The 23,000-square-foot bookstore opened along Commonwealth Centre Parkway more than 10 years ago.
