PETERSBURG, Va. — Police arrested four people in connection to a shooting outside Skate Factory at 2530 S. Crater Road in Petersburg. Police were called to the skating rink Friday at about 11:30 p.m.
“The investigation has revealed that an argument that started in the Skate Factory spilled into the parking lot,” Petersburg Police spokeswoman Esther Hyatt said.
The argument ended with a shooting in which an 18-year-old girl was caught in the crossfire.
“[The] 18-year-old female had been taken by personal vehicle to the emergency room with a gunshot wound,” Hyatt said. “She was flown to VCU Medical Center and has undergone surgery and is currently in critical but stable condition.”
Police arrested Travon Henry, 19, of Hopewell and Eric Ware, 18, in connection with the shooting.
“Henry has been charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm and gang participation,” Hyatt said. “Ware and a juvenile have been charged with gang participation. All charges are felonies. Petersburg and Hopewell Police continue to work together on the case.”
Police also arrested Darrick Holmes, Jr., 20, of Hopewell, in connection to the shooting.
