GREENSVILLE COUNTY, Va. — A hunter was found dead in a tree stand at about 7 p.m. Monday. The hunter’s body was located on Newsome Lane, off Lowground Road, according to multiple sources.
It appeared the hunter was hanging from his safety strap, sources said. Investigators are trying to determine if the hunter fell or of he suffered a heart attack while hunting.
The man was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The hunter was in Greensville County with a hunting club and was not from the county.
