TEXAS – Ebola patient Nina Pham has been upgraded from fair condition to good as well as her beloved dog Bentley.

Bentley was put in quarantine after Pham contracted the virus.

The news came via the Dallas Emergency Services and Adoption Center’s Facebook page, according to WGNTV.com.

Workers who cared for Bentley wore full-body protective suites in case he was infected.

Bentley isn’t the first dog to have a brush with Ebola. A dog belonging to a nurse in Spain who contracted Ebola had to be put down, despite the nearly 365,000 signatures on a petition to let the dog live, according to WGNTV.com

The CDC said “There have been no reports of dogs or cats becoming sick with Ebola.”

The team that took care of Bentley reported that his spirits were high and the staff fell in love with him.
