Earlier Wednesday John Tyler Community College sent an alert to students and staff to "evacuate all buildings immediately." The evacuation order applied to both the college's Midlothian and Chester campuses.

A Chesterfield police dispatcher said someone called in a bomb threat to the college's Midlothian campus located at 800 Charter Colony Parkway.

This is a developing story.
